Palestine vs Jordan Asian Cup preview, kick-off time and live stream

The 2015 AFC Asian Cup is the 16th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, an international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation.

It is currently being held in Australia from January 9 until January 31 2015. The winner of the tournament will earn the right to participate in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, which is to be hosted by Russia.

This is a Group D encounter with Palestine taking on Jordan at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Friday with a kick off time of 0700 GMT.

Palestine are rock bottom of Group D after one match and they know their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages will be over if they fail to win on Friday.

They were played off the park on Monday at the Hunter Stadium in Newcastle as they were destroyed 4-0 by Japan with Yasuhito Endo, Shinji Okazaki, Keisuke Honda and Maya Yoshida all getting on the score sheet.

Jordan, however, have also lost their opening game but their defence was not as leaky as Palestine so that is why they are not bottom of the standings.

They took on Iraq in their opening clash at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and they held on until the 77th minute as Yaser Kasim scored the winner in a 1-0 victory.

These two last locked horns in August 2013 as Jordan ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in a friendly at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

The top two in each group qualify for the knockout stages of the Asian Cup so you see how important it is to get points on the board with just three matches to play in the group stage.
